We took a short break from manning the Library Lounge at Volleywood this weekend to let Bruce try the mechanical surf-board.
Good Stuff
Tickets for Pitchfork are selling like hotcakes. Hopefully you bought yours already. If not, Chicago Public Library has you covered! We are giving away tickets to one of the best music festivals in the country.
Just for the sake of summary, Pitchfork is July 17th -19th. Gates will be open at 4 pm on Friday, July 17th, and at noon on both Saturday and Sunday. The Chicago Public Library “Lounge” will be there offering a break from the sun with Wi-Fi and other free resources.
This totally sums up my Michael Jackson coverage angst. Why is everyone acting so shocked anyway?
Jib Jab strikes again!
Hannah’s Lemonade Stand
Good to see that the entrepreneurial spirit is alive and well in Wrigleyville. Looks like Hannah has her summer job all figured out and the art of branding and sales were not lost on her: work in the team’s signature colors, dress the part and post signs for several blocks to “pre-promote” her services. She even posted a sign on the next block to “Thank” her customers! Now I just hope that the Tax Man won’t come down on her cash business despite the fact that we have city jobs to save and some Olympics to pay for.
Some Specialty Milagro Margaritas last night made me remember this fake commercial I stumbled upon recently.
Remarkable
Student’s Post-It Note stop motion video is meticulously awesome.
This video was created by a Savannah College of Art and Design student as his senior project. The time and effort put into this is insane and the outcome is well worth it. It’s sick.
There is a “Making Of” video as well, follow the [LINK] to watch it.
Unbelievable.
It’s good to know that this was a “Senior Project” and not a sad case of someone with way too much time on their hands!
